Little Miss Sunshine (Film)

A highly dysfunctional family hitting the road in time for their daughter's beauty pagent. I thought the film was okay. It had the independent film vibe of giving each family member their own quirky twist.

Miami Vice (Film)

While I liked this movie, it didn't feel like Miami Vice. I was a big fan of the TV show and came in expecting something similar in tone. I don't understand why label yourself something and set up these expectations and not come through. This all could have been avoided by giving the movie a different title. I thought Foxx played a better Tubbs, but Farrell's Crockett was subpar compared to Johnson's Crockett from the TV series. I've read that Mann was not proud in helping to create the TV show and the movie was supposed to be the way he envisioned the show in his mind's eye. If that's the case, he should have well enough left things alone.
